The surge Binzburg simple, just Binzburg or Bintzburg called, is a Outbound Wasserburg based on the so-called "Binzbuckel" in the west of Hofweier, a modern district of the municipality Hohberg in Ortenaukreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg is suspected.
The castle was built by Wilhelm Hummel von Staufenberg before 1438. In 1472, the knight Bernhard von Bach von den Hummel von Staufenberg acquired the castle along with the other district. The castle fell into disrepair in the 17th century and was demolished in the 18th century. Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex, which can no longer be precisely located.
