The piezometric water tower Ginosa is a 122 meter high water tower near Ginosa and serves to equalize the pressure of the water in the Pertusillo aqueduct, which carries water from the Agri river in Basilicata . Today the waters of the Agri and the Sinni in Basilicata are the primary sources of water supply in Puglia .

The water tower of Ginosa is one of the highest water towers in Europe and is nicknamed "Il Missile", Italian for "the rocket", because of its rocket-like appearance.
