Ginosa is an Italian commune with 22,226 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Taranto in Apulia. The place is 54 km west of Taranto . The neighboring municipalities are Bernalda ( MT ), Castellaneta , Laterza , Matera (MT) and Montescaglioso (MT).
history
A settlement already existed here in ancient times . The founding year of today's place is not known. The parish church of St. Martin was built from 1554 to 1590.
