Company history

In 1986 Bernd Kirsten and Christel founded Kirsten Golfino. After Bernhard Langer's US Masters victory in 1985 and his first place on the golf world rankings in 1986, they used the enthusiasm for golf in Europe and founded Golfino: a niche label that specialized in knitted clothing for golf and its fashion in everyday life was portable. Striking motifs and applications determined the fashion of the 1980s, which the Kirsten couple successfully introduced into the golf wear sector. Golfino soon developed into a provider of complete outfits made from high-quality, functional materials. Golfino was the European market leader for golf clothing in 2018. The company had around 250 employees, its headquarters in Glinde near Hamburg , its own production facility in Porto (Portugal) and global sales with over 20 flagship stores and 15 outlets as well as over 500 shop in shops.

2020: In March 2020, GOLFINO was taken over by the private investment company ENDLESS LLP.
