Manduria is a city in the northern part of Salento .
geography
Manduria has 30,895 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located in the Italian province of Taranto in Apulia . The districts are San Pietro in Bevagna, Torre Colimena and Uggiano Montefusco.
The neighboring municipalities are Avetrana , Maruggio , Erchie ( BR ), Francavilla Fontana (BR), Oria (BR), Porto Cesareo ( LE ) and Sava . Taranto is about 30 kilometers northwest of Manduria.

People already settled here in ancient times . Before Manduria fell in 338 BC. King Archidamos III. of Sparta in a battle.
On February 4, 1895, the place received city rights.
