Montemesola is a south-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3736 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Taranto in Apulia .

location

Montemesola is located on the plateau of a limestone hill of Murge Tarantine at an altitude of about 180 m above sea level. The municipality borders on Grottaglie in the north, Grottaglie in the east, Monteiasi in the southeast , Crispiano in the west , is 13 km northeast of Taranto and is part of the Comunità Montana della Murgia Tarantina .
