The Wolfersberg water tower is a water, radio and transmission tower on the summit of the 322 meter high Wolfersberg in the 14th district of Penzing in Vienna .

The water tower with a height of approx. 12 meters and a container volume of 63 cubic meters was built in 1950. On its roof there is a steel lattice tower with a triangular cross-section, which serves as a transmission tower insulated from earth and emits NDB radio beacon STE on the frequency 293 kHz with 100 W power . This radio signal serves as a radio beacon for the aircraft landing in Schwechat . There is also a VHF transmitter antenna on the roof for broadcasting the radio program from Radio 88.6 on 90.5 MHz.
