The water tower on the Trendelberg is a water tower located on the Trendelberg north of the city of Haldensleben in Saxony-Anhalt .

Trendelberg

The tower, which is currently not in use (as of 2010), was built in 1910 and was part of the drinking water supply for the city of Haldensleben. The tower, reminiscent of a donjon , has a square floor plan, is 30 meters high and carries a 300 m³ water tank . The base of the tower consists of humpback blocks . Pilaster strips made of the same material frame plastered facade surfaces. The top floor has a gallery created with arched columns. The tower spire with a mansard roof towers above it . The listed water tower, which characterizes the landscape, was given a new roof in 1981.

In the 1930s to 1940s, the site at the water tower u. a. used with the SG-38 for gliding or gliding training.
