Wasung

Wasung was a short-lived community in the Coburg district , Upper Franconia , Bavaria .

history

The municipality Wasung was created on January 1st, 1971 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Aicha , Fechheim , Fürth am Berg (officially: Fürth a.Berg) , Mittelwasungen , Plesten and Unterwasungen . On July 1, 1967, the former municipality of Horb near Fürth am Berg (officially Horb b.Fürth a.Berg) was incorporated into the municipality of Fürth am Berg. In a secret vote on October 18, 1970, the citizens of the communities decided on the place name Wasung.

On January 1, 1976, the community was dissolved and incorporated into the city of Neustadt bei Coburg .
