Wat Paramai Yikawat
The Wat Paramai Yikawat (full name: Wat Paramai Yikawat Worawihan , Thai วัด ปร มัย ยิ กา วา ส์ วรวิหาร , such as: called "Temple of the grandmother", also called "Wat Mon") is a Buddhist temple ( Wat ) on the island of Ko Kret in the Chao Phraya River of Nonthaburi Province . location
The island of Ko Kret is an island of almost four square kilometers in the middle of the Maenam Chao Phraya. This island is formed in the north, west and south by the original course of the Chao Phraya River, the east bank forms a channel ( Khlong ) , the Khlong Lat Kret ( คลอง ลัด เกร็ด ). Wat Paramai Yikawat is located in the extreme northeast of this island. It belongs to the municipality of Ko Kret in the Pak Kret District ( Amphoe ) , Nonthaburi Province.
Building history
The Wat Paramai Yikawat was built in the style of the Mon , which is why the local population usually calls it Wat Mon.
