The Watson Valley is a valley in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . In the Saint Johns Range , it lies east of Mount Lewis and opens south to the Upper Victoria Glacier . Apart from a small glacier at the head of the valley, it is otherwise free of ice.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the valley in 2008 after Donald E. Watson of the Seabees , who between 1955 and 1957 in the construction of the Little America V station and the first Byrd station on the occasion of the International Geophysical Year (1957-1958) involved and thereby also worked as a doctor.
