Mount Lewis is a 1450 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Saint Johns Range, it looms at the southwest end of Rutherford Ridge . The rock gable on its southwestern front is an easily recognizable landmark .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2008 after Adam R. Lewis from North Dakota State University , who made a significant contribution to the understanding of the Cenozoic vegetation in the Antarctic dry valleys .
