Watton-at-Stone

Watton-at-Stone is a village in the English county of Hertfordshire and lies between the towns of Stevenage and Hertford in the valley of the River Beane . In 2001 the population was 2,272.

Personalities

Watton-at-Stone is the birthplace of actor Rupert Grint , widely known for his role as Ron Weasley in the film adaptations of the Harry Potter novels. The famous steam locomotive designer Sir Nigel Gresley lived in Watton House until his death in 1941. Box promoter Frank Warren also lives in the village.
