The Waugh peak is 2,430 m high and rocky mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Maud Mountains it rises southeast of the Breyer Mesa on the western flank of the Amundsen Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1967 after Douglas Waugh, from 1963 chief cartographer of the Geological Society of America , who played a key role in the company's cartography program.
