The Wave Peak is a distinctive and 960 m high mountain in the center of Coronation Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It rises at the head of the Laws Glacier . A special feature of this mountain is a ridge extending to the southwest . To the north and east, the slopes of the mountain slope gently towards Brisbane Heights .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out measurements and naming between 1948 and 1949. Names refer to similarity of the mountain with a breaking wave ( english Wave ).
