Wayne Lawrence Brown (born August 20, 1977 in Barking ) is an English football player on the position of defender who is currently under contract with the English second division Preston North End .

Career

Brown moved from Watford FC to Colchester United after several loan spells. At Colchester, he spent three years on Layer Road . For Colchester Brown completed 159 competitive games and was the only field player in the Football League Championship in the 2006/07 season who stood every minute on the pitch. In the end, he was voted the club's best player of the past season. On July 14, 2007, Brown signed a three-year contract with Hull City . The transfer fee is said to have been £ 450,000.

After being loaned to Preston North End for a month in October 2008 and Leicester City at the end of January 2009 until the end of the season , Brown finally left the Premier League club in the direction of the last-mentioned third division promoter and signed a new contract there a term of over two years.

Wayne Brown has been playing for Preston North End in the Football League Championship since July 2010 .
