Wayne Sandilands

Wayne Sandilands (born August 23, 1983 in Benoni ) is a South African football goalkeeper .

Sandilands played in his youth for the clubs Benoni Northerns and Supersport United . From there he made the leap into the professional squad, but did not play a single league game. In 2005 he switched to the Platinum Stars association . There he became a regular in his position as goalkeeper. Due to good performance, he was committed to the Mamelodi Sundowns in 2009 . With the club he won the CAF Champions League in 2016 and the South African Championship in 2014 and 2016. In 2011 he made his debut for the South African national team and was part of their squad at the 2013 African Championship .
