WebTemp ( "Web" within the meaning of the Internet and "Temp" for temperature ) is a shareware for Windows - operating systems for graphical processing of measured data from hardware monitoring software, such as SpeedFan . It reads temperatures, voltages , fan speeds from these and creates together with other, self-recorded data such as memory and CPU utilization, network traffic and, in notebooks, the battery status statistics in the form of PNG or GIF image files, which are automatically uploaded or can be sent by email. This enables remote monitoring of hardware.

History

In its first version in 2000, WebTemp only recorded temperatures, voltages and fan speeds from the motherboard monitor , which has since been discontinued , but already generated graphical statistics in order to have the described monitoring options . Other self-recorded data types as well as other supported monitoring software were added later. To this day, however, WebTemp still requires external software for the temperatures, voltages and fan speeds.

License

There is a free version, which is called freeware on the official website , but still opens a nagscreen once . Compared to the full version, the version is also somewhat limited in scope, but it can run indefinitely. It is also noteworthy that the registration is personal and not, as is usually the case with software, computer-related.
