Weert Borner

Weert Börner (* 1930 in Berlin ) is a German politician and former State Secretary . From 1983 to 1987 he served in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Art.

Börner completed a degree in history and law. He was at the Free University of Berlin with a thesis on Hermann Ehlers and building a parliamentary democracy in Germany Dr. phil. PhD. From 1962 to 1964 he was Heinrich von Brentano's personal advisor . He then worked in the Foreign Service from 1965 to 1971 . In 1972 he moved to Kai-Uwe von Hassel's office . He then entered the state service, initially from Schleswig-Holstein and until 1987 from Lower Saxony.

Börner has been a member of the CDU since 1956 .
