Weezer is the first album by the American band of the same name. Because of the simple blue cover, the album is often referred to as The Blue Album .

Founding member and guitarist Jason Cropper left the band during the recording of the album. He was replaced by Brian Bell . The vocal and guitar tracks recorded by Jason Cropper have been deleted and re-recorded.

  • Tracks 3 and 6 were written by Rivers Cuomo and Patrick Wilson

  • After Say It Ain't So was released as a single, the original version was replaced by the single version when the album was reissued. The original album version was later released on the second CD of the Deluxe Edition. The only differences between the two versions are the sound of the drums and the guitar feedback before the choruses.

Deluxe Edition

For the 10th anniversary of the album, a deluxe edition was released as a double CD in 2004. This contains the album in a newly remastered form on the first CD. The second CD, entitled Dusty Gems and Raw Nuggets, contains all the B-sides of the singles and other rarities from the band's early stages.
