The Crossroads rear road is in the district Wanlo in Mönchengladbach ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ).

The cross was built in the early 20th century. It was entered in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach under No. H 091 on August 18, 1994 .

The property is located at the southern exit of Wanlos on the road to Jackerath .

architecture

It is a small shaft cross with a metal body on a multi-tiered, pillar-like substructure. Triple-stepped, cuboid substructure with a garland-shaped decorative shape ( festoon ) on the front surface. A double bell ledge ( carnies ) leads over into the high rectangular middle part, the upper corners of which are cut in a quarter circle. The front face is framed with a profiled frame to accommodate an inscription plate that is missing today. The base is divided by several convex and concave ridges as a transition to the cross trunk, which carries a body and inscription panel ( INRI ) made of metal.
