The crossroads in Rohrbach am Gießhübel , a district of Eppingen in the Heilbronn district ( Baden-Württemberg ), originated mainly in the 18th and 19th centuries. The crossroads are protected as minor monuments.

history

A total of twelve crosses in and around Rohrbach testify to the piety of the Catholic population and their concern for the salvation of their souls. Some of them were donated in memory of the deceased. The oldest cross is from 1720 and originally stood under the village linden tree. The youngest cross was erected next to the Lady Chapel in 1923 .

The crosses usually show the type of crucifix with the mother of Jesus . For Mary there is often a niche at the foot of the cross, in which her statuette stands. The crosses are all made of sandstone by local stone masons .
