The Wehrle Dome is a heavily furrowed ice dome in the east Antarctic Mac-Robertson Land . It occupies an area of 225 km² (15 × 15 km). Special feature of the Eisdoms are his press ice .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after Egon Wehrle, who supported the traverse marches of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions by providing and operating mobile drilling equipment for the extraction of ice cores .
