Woe to Koslovsky

Wehwalt Koslovsky (* 1972 in Düsseldorf ) is a German writer , poet , stage poet , performance or slam poet and reciter .

Life

Koslovsky studied English, media studies and philosophy in Düsseldorf. In 1994 he was the co-founder and editor of the literary magazine Maultrommel, which was published until 1998. Since 1994 he has held over 2,500 readings, poetry slams and performances in German-speaking countries, Europe, the USA and Japan. Koslovsky is one of the pioneers of the German-speaking and European slam movement and has won almost 400 poetry slams during his active career. In 2003 he founded the international spoken word ensemble "Poesie United" (until 2006). From 2008 to 2012 he and Frank Klötgen formed the modern counterpart to the Weimar classics as "kuk". He lives and works as a freelance writer, performance poet, reciter, eMCee and literary organizer between Berlin, Hamburg, Zurich and Funchal (Portugal).
