List of apple varieties

The White Matapfel , also called Würz Apple, White Würzapfel, Tiefbutzen, stem apple, Cromelor or Spätblühender Matapfel, is a species of the culture apple ( Malus domestica ).

The white matte apple is a typical type of pressed apple whose juicy fruits with their sweet and sour wine taste are still valued today for cider production. The sugar content, which is important for pressing, is 14%, the acidity 9 g per liter.

The white mate apple emerged as a chance seedling around 1810 in southern Germany , where it is still occasionally grown commercially. It is one of the undemanding and climatically very robust varieties that are also resistant to scab , powdery mildew and fruit tree cancer . Due to its strong growth with the broad, spherical crowns and overhanging branches, it used to be planted along the streets and paths. It is also a typical variety in orchards .
