Wei Tai-sheng (born August 20, 2000 ) is a Taiwanese sprinter .

Athletic career

Wei Tai-sheng gained his first international experience at the 2017 Asian Youth Championships in Bangkok , where he could not finish his heat over 200 meters. The following year he won the Junior Asian Championships in Gifu in 21.05 s over 200 meters and was fifth in the 100-meter run in 10.50 s. In addition, he won the silver medal behind the team from Japan with the Taiwanese 4-by-100-meter relay in 39.72 s. At the end of August he reached the semi-finals over 200 meters at the Asian Games in Jakarta , in which he was eliminated with 21.27 s. In addition, he finished fourth with the Taiwanese relay in 38.98 s. In 2019 he took part in the Summer Universiade in Naples for the first time and reached the semi-finals over 200 meters, in which he was eliminated with 21.08 s. He also reached fourth place with the relay in 39.78 s.

In 2018, Wei became the Taiwanese champion in the 200-meter run and the 4-by-100-meter relay.
