Weiberklatsch was a place to live in the town of Erkrath in the Mettmann district .

Location and description

Weiberklatsch was on the connecting path between the district of Kemperdiek in today's Erkrath district of Hochdahl and Rosenbaum in today's Erkrath district of Unterfeldhaus . The residential area was demolished in the 1930s for the construction of the federal highway 3 and built over by the trunk road.

history

In the 18th century the place belonged to the Honschaft Bruchhausen of the parish Erkrath in the Bergisches Amt Mettmann , which was in the judicial district of Gerresheim . The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1824 records the place as Weiberklatsch , the Prussian first recording from 1844 shows it unlabeled. On the editions 1892/94 to 1913 of the Mettmann measuring table sheet of the official topographic map 1: 25,000, the place is continuously labeled with women gossip .

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, a house with 14 inhabitants is given for Weiberklatsch. In 1895 the place has a house with five residents.
