Weiler is a suburb of Dalkingen , a district of Rainau .
history
Weiler was first mentioned in 1229 as Wiler . In the High Middle Ages there was a local noble family in the village, who had Weiler Castle as their ancestral castle .
The place was in 1557 after the extinction of those of Ahelfingen by the House of Helfenstein as a completed fief to the "rich alms" in Dinkelsbühl sold.
