Dalkingen is a district of Rainau in Baden-Württemberg Ostalbkreis . In the course of the administrative reform in Baden-Württemberg, the municipality of Rainau was formed on January 1, 1975 from the previously independent municipalities of Schwabsberg and Dalkingen. The hamlet Weiler belongs to the place .

history

Dalkingen was first mentioned around 1136. Old spellings of the place are Talkingen , Dallkgingen or Tällgingen .

The place came to Württemberg in 1803 , the Dinkelsbühler property to Bavaria in 1803, and to Württemberg in 1810. Until 1938 the place was in the Oberamt Ellwangen , then it came to the Aalen district , which in 1973 became part of the Ostalb district.
