The hamlet of Bach is a brook in the town of Hürth in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The brook rises in the source horizon of the clay layers lying under the lignite that was formerly mined here , slightly tilted towards the Rhine valley, and flows down the Villehang over the hamlet ponds created by Carthusian monks through a small notch valley into the gravel areas of the Rhine valley . There it seeps into a wetland on the other side of the Bonnstrasse between Fischenich and Brühl- Vochem .

The Bachtal was transformed into a protected landscape area, with farmers and allotment gardeners receiving replacement plots. A circular path was laid out.

Protection status

The hamlet of Bach is a protected biotope in accordance with Section 62 of the Landscape Act of North Rhine-Westphalia in the Hürth district of Fischenich near the Weilerhof on the border with the Vochem district of the city of Brühl .

Since 1990 the entire course of the hamlet Bach has been protected in the "Weiler Bach" landscape protection area, which covers 1.1 km² in the Hürther and Brühler urban areas.
