Companies

In 1975 Roswitha and Bernd Weiling founded a mail order business for health products, followed three years later by an organic store in Coesfeld. Over the years, this resulted in today's wholesaling company. It is still owned by the family to this day; all shareholders are members of the Weiling family. In addition to the founding managing director Bernd Weiling, the logistics specialist became in 2007Peter Meyer appointed managing director. With an ever-increasing variety of products in the around 1000 retail stores supplied by Weiling across Germany, Weiling became the second largest German organic wholesaler, whereby the growing demand, with some 20 percent annual growth rates, is primarily due to the interest of affluent groups in high-priced organic products.

In addition to the founding headquarters in Coesfeld with a plot area of ​​66,000 m² today, the company also has a seat in Lonsee near Ulm with an area of ​​42,000 m². In 2015, Weiling expanded its storage capacity at its headquarters in Coesfeld. The company built a new high-bay warehouse on an area of ​​12,000 m² and expanded its office wings. The 33-meter-high high-bay warehouse has a capacity of 6000 Euro pallets on an area of ​​1000 m² , supplemented by an aluminum construction that can carry almost 50,000 containers, including for bulk goods .

The company specializes in the distribution of products that are manufactured using organic and sustainable processes. Many of them had this production method confirmed by various certificates (“ organic seals ”). According to its own information, the company sells around 11,000 different products from more than 600 suppliers worldwide. In addition to food, including wine , cosmetics are also sold.
