The Erwin Sabathi winery is an Austrian winery in Leutschach an der Weinstrasse in the southern Styria wine-growing region . It belongs to the association “Styrian Terroir and Classic Wineries” (STK).

history

In 1968 senior and father Erwin Sabathi took over the winery. He quickly expanded the business into one of the larger private wineries in Austria . New vineyards were purchased and leased and the existing Sauvignon vines were increased. In 2004 the new building of the wine cellar opposite the main building was completed and the first vintage was cellared there.

The new wine cellar with vinotheque was awarded the Viktor Geramb thank you mark for good building in Styria in 2005.

Area under cultivation, grape varieties and cuvées

The cultivation area around Leutschach comprises around 20 hectares of its own vineyards. In addition to the classically developed white wines ( Chardonnay , White Burgundy , Sauvignon Blanc and Gelber Muskateller ), Sabathi also offers Gray Burgundy and Welschriesling .
