The Polz winery has existed since 1912. Erich and Walter Polz have managed it since the late 1980s. The Polz brothers were leaders in the Austrian “wine revolution” at the time, which switched from sweet wines and mass production to dry quality products.

The winery, with its subsidiaries such as the Tscheppe am Pößnitzberg winery and the episcopal Schloss Seggau winery, is one of the largest wine producers in Austria. The Miro Vino winery in Jeruzalem , Slovenia is also operated. The Polz winery is a member of the Styrian terroir and classic wineries .
