Weiyang (Yangzhou)

Weiyang ( Chinese  维扬 区 , Pinyin Wéiyáng Qū ) was a municipality in the Chinese province of Jiangsu . It belonged to the administrative area of ​​the prefecture city Yangzhou . Weiyang had an area of ​​87 km² and had a population of around 280,000 (2004). On October 22, 2011, it was disbanded and incorporated into the Hanjiang District .
