Wellhausen & Marquardt Medien is a publisher in the special interest segment with a focus on hobbies and leisure.

history

In 1998 Tom Wellhausen and Sebastian Marquardt founded Trucks & Details , a magazine for remote-controlled model trucks, part-time. At the end of 1999 Marquardt gave up his freelance work as a journalist, at the beginning of 2000 Wellhausen switched from being an employee at Bauer-Verlag to becoming self-employed. This was followed by the founding of further magazines in the field of model making and titles from the segments kite sports (2000 and 2006), dolls and teddy bears (2009 and 2010) were purchased.

With around 20 permanent employees and 400 authors, the publishing house publishes 9 kiosk magazines and numerous special publications, produces an association magazine and operates around 30 websites on the subjects of magazines and books. By taking over parts of the Duisburg publishing house Wohlfarth in 2010, an extensive range of books with dolls and teddy bears is included in the offer. In addition, the company has been offering PR work for third parties and publishing services since it was founded .

The publisher has been organizing the Teddybär total trade fair since 2012 .
