The Wellman nunatak is a small nunatak with a diameter of around 300 m in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises 40 miles from the Knuckey Peaks .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after Peter Wellman, a geophysicist with the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources who visited the Nunatak between 1976 and 1977.
