The Weltfahrradtag is on June 3 committed: He was born on 12. April 2018 as an official UN tag of consciousness about the social benefits of bicycle use adopted.
After the announcement was made, General Secretary Bernhard Ensink of the European Cyclists' Federation announced that cycling had social, economic and ecological benefits and that it brought people closer together. He went on to say that the UN declaration recognized the contribution of cycling to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals .
