The world association for the rapprochement of the Islamic schools of thought ( Persian مجمع جهانی تقریب مذاهب اسلامی Majma Jahani Taghrib Mazaheb Islami ; English World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought ; Abbr. WFPIST) is an international pan-Islamic organization for the rapprochement of the Islamic schools of law and thought, which was founded in 1990 by Ali Khamenei , the Supreme Legal Scholar of Iran .

Its headquarters are in Tehran . Ayatollah Mohsen Araki is the Secretary General . He is the successor to Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammed Ali Tashiri .
