Wendalinus way

The Wendalinus-Weg is an 18 km long hiking trail that leads from Tholey to St. Wendel . The path is named after the holy Wendelin who worked in this region. The path is marked with a black pilgrim's staff on a white background.

The route begins at the Tholey market square in the immediate vicinity of the St. Mauritius Abbey Church. In the further course of the path you leave Tholey and reach Alsweiler . From here the path leads partly over an old Roman road to Bliesen . You cross the whole place, cross the Blies and reach the street of the sculptures . The path now leads south to St. Wendel, where it ends at the Wendalinus basilica .
