The Wendelstorfer See is a lake in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in the area of the municipality of Dalberg-Wendelstorf . The east bank borders on the municipality of Mühlen Eichsen . It is named after the place of the same name on the east bank of the water, which belongs to the municipality of Dalberg-Wendelstorf.
The Wendelstorfer See is fed by the Stepenitz coming from the Dalbergkuhle , which flows into the south and leaves the water in the north towards the Großeichsener See . The transition to the Dalbergkuhle is swampy. The body of water has an area of 27 hectares with a maximum extension from north to south of about 1300 meters and a width of about 320 meters. The lake lies in a channel that extends from south to north. The terrain rises from 43 meters, the height of the water level, to up to 70 meters above sea level. The Hegerholz forest is located at the southwest end of the lake .
