To the south of (Groß-) Osterhausen, still well above Einsdorf, a place bears the name “Die Höfe bei Windhügel”.

history

Wenthdorf was mentioned for the first time in the Hersfeld tithe list as a place with a compulsory tithing obligation “Uuinidorpf”.

In a document from 1314, which confirms the right to tithe to the Kaltenborn monastery , Wenthdorf, as it is written today, is mentioned for the last time as Winidodorf next to Kokenburgk , Einsdorf , Ludersdorf and Osterhausen .
