Joel Isasi

Joel Isasi González (born July 13, 1967 in Matanzas ) is a former Cuban sprinter .

His greatest achievement was winning the bronze medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona . The Cuban relay team in the line-up Andrés Simón , Joel Lamela , Joel Isasi and Jorge Aguilera reached the goal in 38.00 s behind the teams of the USA (37.40 s, world record at the time) and Nigeria (37.98 s).

Isasi won the Central American and Caribbean Games in Mexico City in 1990 and in Ponce in 1993, each over 100 m . He reached other international finals at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 1991 in Seville with fifth place and in 1993 in Toronto with sixth place in the 60-meter run . He also reached the semi-finals over 100 m at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 and finished sixth in the relay at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta .

Joel Isasi is 1.68 m tall and had a competition weight of 72 kg.
