Wenzel Albin von Helfenburg

Wenzel Albin von Helfenburg (Czech. Václav Albín (Bílek) z Helfenburka) (* around 1500 , † 1577 Krummau ) was archivist and chancellor of the Lords of Rosenberg .

The son of an unknown subject of the Rosenbergs probably completed his university studies at an Italian university. From 1522 he worked in the Rosenberger ruling office. In 1539 he took over the management of the chancellery, which also included the financial administration, and held this position until his death in 1577. Václav Albín was also the first known Rosenberg archivist to whom several clerks and two secretaries (one Czech, one German). In the 40s of the 16th century he arranged the documents of his rule and included them in an inventory. At the same time he made a name for himself as an excellent organizer who managed the business of the house in the absence of his master Wilhelm von Rosenberg . In 1555 he was raised to the Vladiken stand together with his sons Thomas and Johann .
