Wenzel Krisch actually Johann Wenzl Kri (e) sch (* around 1714; † 1803 in Frühbuß ), was a Bohemian mountain and court clerk, city judge, treasurer, school teacher, cantor and sacristan from Frühbuß. In 1779 he was in charge of the new church in Frühbuss.

Life

Kirsch worked for many years from 1735 until his death in 1803 as a school teacher in early penance. He also held the office of local cantor and sacristan, as well as that of mountain and court clerk. At least in 1782 he had also assumed the office of judge and treasurer. On the initiative of Emperor Joseph II , who spent the night in the local rectory on June 17, 1766 and found the old church of Frühbuss to be dilapidated, the foundation stone for the construction of a new church was laid in 1779. Kirsch, who was given building supervision by the authorities, made part of his own garden plot available for the new location of the church. He died in 1803 at the old age of 89. In his death book entry you can read: kriesch Wenzel cantor Bergschreiber, and court clerk after 68 years of school service with glory. His son of the same name, who was chaplain in Neurohlau for 3 ½ years , rests in the church. The initials "WKC" and the year 1779 are written on his granite stone tombstone. He died around the same time as the construction of the church began.
