Vera Alexandrovna Lyadova
Vera Alexandrovna Ljadowa ( Russian Вера Александровна Лядова * March 15 . Jul / 27. March 1839 greg. In Saint Petersburg , † March 24 jul. / 5. April 1870 greg. Ibid) was a Russian dancer, singer and actress.
Life
She was born the daughter of the head of the St. Petersburg ballet Alexander Lyadov . Her uncle, Konstantin Lyadow , was chief conductor of the Russian Opera in Saint Petersburg. From the age of 10 she attended the theater school in her hometown. She received training as a dancer, actress and singer. At the age of twelve she already appeared in opera performances. After completing her training in 1858, she embarked on a successful career as a ballet dancer. However, she also performed as a singer and actress. In 1868 she turned to operetta and left the ballet. Their performances were celebrated and enjoyed a large audience.
At the beginning of 1870 she suddenly fell ill and died at the age of 31 on April 5, 1870.
Her grave is in the Tikhvin cemetery at the Alexander Nevsky Monastery in Saint Petersburg.
