The Tikhvin Cemetery ( Russian Тихвинское кладбище ), since 1935: Necropolis of artists and Necropolis of Masters of Arts (Nekropol masterow iskusstw / Некрополь мастеров искусств . / Scientific transliteration ; Nekropol 'masterov iskusstv . English Necropolis of the Masters of Arts ) is at the Alexander Nevsky Convent in Saint Petersburg ( Russia ). It was inaugurated in 1823. Numerous famous Russian artists are buried on it, including the writers Dostoyevsky , Zhukovsky , Karamsin and Krylow , and the composers Tchaikovsky , Glinka , Borodin , Musorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov .
