Verkhneje Kuito ( Russian Верхнее Куйто "Upper Kuito", Finnish Ylä-Kuittijärvi ) is a lake in the Republic of Karelia in northwestern Russia . It is the westernmost and highest situated lake in the Kuito three-part system .
The lake has an area of 197.6 km². The length of the lake is 42 km, the maximum width of the lake 19.6 km. The altitude is 102.7 m.
