Donald Carl Swayze (born August 10, 1958 in Houston , Texas ) is an American actor and the younger brother of the actor Patrick Swayze .

Life

Donald Carl Swayze was born the third of five children to Patsy Yvonne Helen, née Karnes, a dancer, and Jesse Wayne Swayze, a draftsman. He had an older sister (deceased in 1994) and is the brother of the late actor Patrick Swayze. He also has a younger brother and an adopted younger sister.

After his first appearance in 1984 in the television comedy The Girl of the Month , it was less his film appearances, including in Shy People - Threatening Silence , The Merciless Hunter and Betrayal - Death is Her Business , than his series appearances in Without a Trace , Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten, and especially in 2010 for six episodes in True Blood , for which he became famous.

From 1985 to 1993 he was married to Marcia Rose Goebel, with whom he has a daughter who was born in 1988.
