Sredneje Kuito ( Russian Среднее Куйто "Middle Kuito", Finnish Keski-Kuittijärvi ) is a lake in the Republic of Karelia in northwestern Russia .
The Sredneje Kuito is the middle lake of the Kuito three-part system . The area is 257 km². The lake is at 101 m. It has a length of 42 km and a maximum width of 11.7 km. The maximum depth is 34 m.
The lake flows down to the Nizhneje Kuito in the east .
Kalewala is located on the north shore of the lake .
