Woidboyz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Woidboyz are a Bavarian comedy group that can be seen mainly on Bavarian television . They are known for spontaneous entertainment in public and the spontaneous inclusion of pedestrians passing by. The name Woidboyz is a Bavarian-English creation and thus symbolizes a combination of tradition, Bavarian dialect and modernity: The Bavarian word "Woid" (German: Forest) stands for the Bavarian Forest , in the immediate vicinity of which the boys (English "Boyz" ) grew up in the comedy group.

The Woidboyz

The Woidboyz , born between 1980 and 1983, come from Lower Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate .

Currently there are three of them on the road since 2014:

From 2006 to 2013 Thomas "Tom" Hack was also a member of the Woidboyz .

history

The group achieved prominence through various internet videos. As part of their media technology studies at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences , they shot their first clips as Woidboyz . In 2006 they made it to the cinema with their self-made film “Woidboyz - The MuhVieh” . From 2007 to 2012 Tom Hack, Bastian Kellermeier, Ulrich Nutz and Andreas Weindl were on the road in various categories and clips as part of the youth program on3-südwild of the Bavarian broadcasting company . In 2011 they won the Freimann role for the best journalistic contribution on Bavarian television with their “WaschGang” section.

After on3-südwild was discontinued in 2012, their own programs Woidboyz WaschGang , Woidboyz EDEN , and Der wilde Woidboyz-Comedy-Mix could be seen on Bavarian television. Compared to their weird, daring clips from the beginnings of the comedy group, their TV programs are much more civilized, but with the retention of their sometimes cheeky appearance. After Tom Hack left the group at the end of 2013, there are only three of the Woidboyz since then. Instead of the previous formats, they developed the new program Woidboyz in Town , which has been shown since 2014. In 2015 they hitchhiked across Bavaria for their new show Woidboyz on the Road without money .
